NAPLAN Results 2026
Understanding how NAPLAN results are reported and used is essential for parents and educators. The NAPLAN national report, school reports, and MyNAPLAN Parent Portal are key tools for understanding and improving student performance in Australia.
The national report provides a broad overview of literacy and numeracy trends, identifying both achievements and areas needing attention. School reports offer detailed performance data, helping educators refine their teaching strategies to better meet student needs.
The MyNAPLAN Parent Portal gives parents easy access to their child's results, enabling them to monitor progress and support their child's learning. Together, these resources enhance transparency and foster collaborative efforts to improve educational outcomes.
NAPLAN test results are interpreted through a combination of scale scores and achievement bands. Scale scores provide a numerical representation of a student's performance. Achievement bands categorise these scores into different levels, indicating whether a student is meeting, exceeding, or below the expected standards.
These results are used to identify individual strengths and areas for improvement, guide teaching strategies, and assess overall progress at the school and national levels.
